The EMV Ready Utility works in conjunction with the DMS and, as such, requires the DMS monitoring agent to be installed in the Dealers network. Contact DCR for information pertaining to the power of the DMS. EMV Ready only applies to Equinox Pin Pads versions PCI2 and PCI3.

Back Office

  • Check the Software key Contract date and remotely update it from Loc Softwares site if necessary
  • Detect version of SQL so incorrect Service packs will halt the update
  • Download all the Packages Necessary only once on the Back Office
  • Uses WebLinks download method which retries the download on Systems with Poor Internet Connections
  • Download an Agent that will be copied to the Terminals to update them
  • Determine if Electronic Checks are used and detect the type, updating necessary files to the latest version
  • Cleans all unused Payment and Pinpad option folders and dlls
  • All settings are completely customizable
  • Has Optional xml file so any other necessary files can be downloaded


Terminal

  • Uninstall the old version of Equinox OPOS
  • Determine electronic Check Type and Update the Setup.ini as well as update flip template
  • Install the latest Advanced Epson Driver as needed
  • Remove all old forms from the Equinox device
  • Determine PCI2 or PCI3 and loads Term Type specific software
  • Install the latest Equinox FPE 1.7.44.11
  • Load the lastest forms, OS/MCU, and FPE in the Equinox device(EMV or no EMV)
  • If converting to EMV it will download the SMS specific options
  • Clean all unused Payment and Pinpad option folders and dlls
  • Communicate directly with the Equinox device and upload the version of OS/MCU, FPE, Forms, and Serial Number
  • Upload the M/S,DUKPT Keys that are installed on the Equinox device
  • Supports custom Check Flip Templates
  • Supports custom ini settings for the Setup.ini
  • Supports fetching of custom Setting.ini so the EMV transition is smoother
